Highways and Public Works Yukon 511 Condition Report

Emergency road closures or advisories:

Taylor Hwy currently closed from Chicken to Eagle, except for planned convoys. Weather permitting convoys will occur from Eagle to MP 105, just past the Top of World Highway Junction: Once daily, 6:30 AM, Sept 3 - 6th. MP 105, just past the Top of World Highway Junction, to Eagle: Once daily, 3:00 PM, Sept 3-6th. Passenger vehicles, pick-up trucks, and trailers up to 20 feet allowed. Planned closure September 8th, 6:00 AM thru Sept. 9, 6:00 AM between Chicken and Boundary. Convoys between Chicken and Boundary with resume on Thursday, September 9th. Convoys leave Chicken, towards Boundary at 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Convoys return from Boundary, towards Chicken at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Convoys between Chicken and Boundary are expected to run thru Mid-September.

Road construction on TAYLOR HIGHWAY Occurring 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM daily from 8/20/10 until 12/31/10 Comments: Planned Closures for 09/08 and 09/09. No Convoys during Planned Closures. Taylor Hwy from Junction to Eagle will be OPEN 09/3/10 through 09/06/10. Friday through Monday . Convoy will leave Eagle at 6:30 am for the Junction. Convoy will leave Junction at 3:00 pm for Eagle. Passenger vehicles with Trailers up to 20 feet long and Motorhomes up to 28 feet with small Trailers allowed.
